After staying a couple days in the island of Flores we needed to stay somewhere else more quiet. So we found this place on Google and let me tell you this place is amazing, hidden gem for sure. The rooms and the whole place is clean and well maintained. The staff is helpful and friendly. They cooked for us, washed our clothes and gave us information of the surrounding areas. Including this beautiful private beach that's within walking distance, it is beautiful. The Zapote Inn and the staff made our stay in Flores unforgettable.

When I first arrived to Flores I was pressed to find a place to go because my night bus arrived so early in the morning. Found a hotel that was serving coffee and breakfast and got in touch with Peter, and he responded immediately and brought a boat to pick us up. After a short car ride up the hill we made it to his beautiful inn, which was elegant and tidy. The room was very nice with a spacious bed and wall mounted fan that cooled us perfectly, and did not need the A/C. What I liked most about staying here was the service. When we needed picking up from town, it was prompt and Peter is always smiling. Also, his ability to link us to the most affordable tours and shuttles was seamless and took all the headache out of traveling. Wish I had contacted him sooner! Then he went above and beyond at dinner and breakfast with a table full of everything one could want and answered all our questions.

You will feel at home in this cozy gem with a fantastic view of the main island. My family stayed here on a roadtrip to Tikal and wished we could have stayed longer. Eric and his staff took care of every detail including delicious food, huge breakfast, yummy fruits and juices, coffee, and delicious lunch and dinner including the fresh caught white fish. We had fresh coconuts, and enjoyed the patio with some drinks. There is a nearby Mirador with a great view of the island and surrounding cities across the lake. Eric made sure the pool pump stayed on for our son and we also used the laundry service. Eric and hotel owners are knowledgeable of Mayan history and archeology and the hotel is decorated in unique Mayan artwork. I would stay here again, preferably during zapote fruit season. I highly recommend the car ferry! Stay in contact with Eric to plan for your arrival.
